About Me
Hi, my name is Sprout & I was surrendered with a large number of kitties from the same property. Being with so many others, it unfortunately meant the amount of human interaction I’d had was limited. Thankfully the rescue saw my potential and offered to take me in.
My personality? I need to be honest with you here... I can initially be shy. That said, I'm now enjoying the attention of my human counterparts and can be patted, cuddled and snuggled. In fact, I've grown fairly fond of 'the two-legged beings'... they've shown me nothing but love & kindness- plus, they feed me! While I'm worlds apart from the old 'me', it should be understood that I won't take to new people straight away. You see, I don't cope too well with change. New things, new places, new people are all scary thoughts to me. I can assure you though that if you're patient with me, you'll gain my trust & where my affections are concerned.... the skies will be the limit!
So now the important stuff. What sort of home will I suit? I'll need a patient home that's mindful of my past and gives me plenty of time to adjust to all the change that comes with an adoption. Cats? I'm great with other kitties of all ages (although I get-along best with those that are young or young at heart). Dogs? The great thing about the foster care system is our foster pawrents are able to test us with a bunch of different things.... This allows the rescue figure out what we 'would' and 'wouldn't' suit. I have had limited interactions with doggies but so far, have been relatively non-reaction. What does this mean? Well, it means I will adapt well to a home with another doggie -BUT- may be a bit hissy upon our initial introduction. Children? I will be fine with children as long as I'm given space 'to chill' when needed (ages 7+).
