About Me

Hi, my name's Esther & I came into the care of the rescue after finding myself homeless, at a local pound with my 3 kittens. I wasn’t overly receptive to human contact and with the stress of a pound environment, I rejected my kittens (who were then hand raised but remained with me).

During my time in foster care, it became evident that I had at some point been the victim of physical abuse. I would react to sudden movements and avoided all contact with my head/eye area. Lots of hard work, patience and love…. I’m for the most past a changed kitty. I will still “flinch” from time to time with sudden movements, but, through the hard work and perseverance of my carer, my trust has been restored in humans!

While my initial timidity might have you questioning whether I could be the one for you, I can assure you that it’ll be short lived. You see, I like to first suss out the company I keep.... to see if they’re ‘the good sort’ {as I’m sure you are!}. Once I’ve done this, my beautiful-natured personality really begins to shine through! Curious, affectionate, adventurous… I'm those things and more. I love to investigate new and exciting things. I will make it my personal mission to explore every nook ‘n’ cranny of ANY and EVERY space. When I’m not engaging in a spot of exploration, you’ll generally find me catching up on some z’s somewhere comfy (preference being for a lap). It’s during these times that I become affectionate and seek out human affection.... I really am very sweet.

So now the important stuff. What sort of home will I suit? I'm needing a patient home that’ll give me plenty of time to settle in. Cats? I’ve previously been in foster care with other cats and adapted well to their company. That said, it may not be love at first sight. Dogs? Same deelio as cats. Children? I’ll be ok in a home with older children that are respectful of my space (ages 10+).
