Hi my name is Shelby & I came into the care of the rescue with my siblings after being surrendered with our mother. Thankfully the rescue was contacted who wasted no time in finding a suitable foster carer who was able to provide a safe and loving environment for our mother to raise us in- and what a great job she's done!
I am sure the first thing you'll notice about me is ginger coat. But wait.... is it ginger? Or is it more of a beige? Or is it more of a peach colour? Or is it closer to white? Confused? So was I. This matter required a bit of thought but don't worry, they eventually came up with something fitting. The end result? Get ready for it.... 'Champagne'. Fancy right? Well I'm a fancy kinda gurl!
Good things things come in small packages.... & I am no exception. I am a super-charged little fire-cracker with a whole lotta' personality, 'n' then some. But honestly, my personality is truly second to none. I am cheeky, social and smoochy- enjoying a cuddle on your lap when I am feeling affectionate and partaking in 'wrestling matches' with my siblings when I'm feeling confident and playful. If I'm not doing either of those things, you can generally find me off exploring. New things are fun and exciting to me, so I make it my personal mission to embark on daily explorative expeditions. I will then collect, catalogue and stash my travel souvenirs somewhere safe- out of the reach of my siblings.
So now the important stuff. What sort of home will I suit? I am a social puddy-cat that will suit a variety of homes. Cats? I have proven to be great with other cats of different ages, sizes and personalities. Dogs? The great thing about the foster care system is our foster pawrents are able to test us with a bunch of different things.... This allows the rescue figure out what we 'would' and 'wouldn't' suit. I have had limited interactions with doggies but so far, have been relatively non-reaction. What does this mean? Well, it means I will adapt well to a home with another doggie -BUT- may be a bit hissy upon our our initial introduction. Children? I will be fine with children as long as I am given space 'to chill' when needed (preferably no children under the age of 3).
