Pumpkin NC1454

Hi, my name's Pumpkin & I came into the care of the rescue after finding myself homeless, at a local pound. Thankfully the rescue found a wonderful carer who was able to take me in.

As PLUMP as a Pumpkin. At just 10 months old.... it's safe to say that I'm gonna be a big boy. Otherwise, I'm a sweet-natured, affectionate lad that relishes in the company of my human counterparts. I really do enjoy a snuggle. Yep, that's me. A snuggler. I'm the kinda lad tha'lll find a space, any space really to mozie my way on into (and at my size, I get a lot of lap coverage!) . As for my timing? I think you know that answer to that: Terrible. You should expect that every moment that's taken to do something important, I'll be there... demanding your attention. If I don't get your attention? Well, you best be prepared to hear about it.... I'm fairly vocal with my demands.

So now the important stuff. What sort of home will I suit? I can initially be wary of strangers, but don't worry... that's short lived. Cats? I’ve met some kitties from the comfort of my carrier and was non-reactive. So what does this mean? As I came into care with another kittty, I  have the potential to adapt to the company of another cat..... BUT, the introduction process will need to be done with care, consideration and plenty of time. Well managed introductions are key! Dogs? The great thing about the foster care system is our foster pawrents are able to test us with a bunch of different things.... This allows the rescue figure out what we 'would' and 'wouldn't' suit. While I’ve had limited interactions with doggies, I’ve been for the most part non-reactive. What does this mean? Well, it means I’ll adapt well to a home with another doggie -BUT- may be a bit hissy upon our initial introduction. Children? We have been in care with children and adapted well to their company. We would prefer a home however without young children (3+ yrs).
