Hi, my name is Nicky & I sadly found myself at a local vet facing the 'green dream'. What's the 'green dream' you ask? In short, euthanasia. Why was I facing euthanasia? Well, my elderly owner (on short notice) needed to go into a 'high care' facility & unfortunately, the facility wasn't able to accomodate me... rendering me homeless. Unsure of what to do, my owner took me to their closest vet and signed the documentation that cemented my fate... that was, until staff asked for permission to first try and find a rescue to take me in. Lots of frantic calls were made and thankfully, I struck some luck!! S.A.M. was able help and just like that, I was safe.
As you can see in my pictures & vids, I’m a pretty affectionate kitty. Nicky is my name and snuggles is my game... There really is nothing I'd rather do than snuggle my nearest & dearest. N’ if I don’t get ‘said’ snuggles? Well, expect to be held hostage for an unspecified amount of time. I’m the sorta’ kittie that seeks every opportunity to have a snuggle… on a lap, arm, shoulder.... whatever’s going really. Other than snuggles, my favourite thing to do is laze by a window and enjoy the sunshine…. & a spot of bird watching if the opportunity presents. All in all, I’m a cruisy customer with a placid disposition.
So now the important stuff. What sort of home will I suit? Cats? I'll be honest, I've not had much interaction with other kitties however, I’ve met some from the comfort of my carrier and appeared non-reactive. I may adapt to the company of another feline providing introductions are done with care and consideration. Dogs? Same deelio is cats! Kids? Due to my affectionate & relaxed personality, the rescue feel I’ll do just fine with kidlets however, I’ll need children that are respectful of my space (ideally aged 10+).
