ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Mickey & I came into the care of the rescue with my sister after a change in living circumstances of my previous owner (note* I am not bonded with her and am happy doing my own thing). Thankfully the rescue was contacted who wasted no time in finding me a suitable carer.

 

I'm the original gentle giant; a big sook who loves to lavish affection on my human. If you're looking for a lap cat and a sidekick to keep you company, look no further. So now the important stuff. What sort of home will I suit? Change can be a little scary for me and there is a whole lotta' change involved with the adoption process; meeting new people at meet and greets, moving into a new home, adjusting to a new routine, learning to trust my adopters, adjusting to new sounds & smells... to name a few. I am seeking a quiet and patient home that will show me understanding and give me plenty of time to adjust to my new home. I will need someone willing and able to continue working on my confidence- a week of living in my new place and I am a different cat, ready to shower my human(s) with appreciation and head bonks.

 

Other cats? I have previously lived with another cat, however when trialled with different cats in the foster home was a bit run-and-hide. I do have the potential to adapt to the company of another cat, however the introduction process will need to be done with care, consideration and time. Dogs? I haven't met a pooch before so would best suit a home without any dogs. Kids? I am not suited to a home with young, boisterous children however.... I will be ok with kidlets who are respectful of my space.

ADOPTION PACKAGE

Adoption fee is $200 which covers 1st vaccination, de-sexing, microchip, worming, flea treatment and vet check. Animals are ready for their forever homes typically once they reach 9 weeks of age and vet work has been completed. Please note* adoption fees do not cover microchip transfer costs. This can be obtained from the lovely SAM team upon request.
