Now taking expressions of interest! Hi my name is Lollipop & I came into foster care with my siblings. Unfortunately my rescue didn't go to plan....
So, here is the down-low. I am classed as 'special needs' but wait, before you go and click exit and visit the profile of another kitten- my prognosis is actually pretty damn good! I have a head tilt/wobble which was first observed by my foster carer. This wobble isn't always obvious, but it's there. I have been assessed by numerous vets and despite treatment, my condition has not improved. In conclusion, the general consensus is that my head tilt/wobble is a neurological quirk and while it doesn't affect my quality of life, it is likely to be irreversible.
Want to know a little more about me? Keep reading.....
"Oh girls, they wanna have fun
Ho hoo girls just wanna have
That's all they really want
Is some fun"
This song was pretty much written for me- in a nutshell, it is me. I am a girl and I am all about a fun time- as perfectly captured by miss Cyndi Lauper. I am an avid explorer with a keen eye for adventure. I will make quick-work of turning the home into a makeshift obstacle course. Zoom Zoom Zoom! Here I go! If I want to play and can't find a willing participant, you should expect to hear about it either of the following forms:
a) Head boops
b) Head nuzzles
d) Ear nibbles
e) Hand smacking (with my paw)
f) Yelling in close proximity to your ears (generally perched up on your shoulder)
In the end, I generally get what I want. It is safe to say that I am needing a home that will understand my energy levels. A home that can provide me with plenty of stimulation. A home that will appreciate my antics for what they are, good fun. I will provide you with endless hours of entertainment and will most certainly keep you on your toes.
Other things worth noting about me: I can forget to eat. You are probably wondering how that can even happen.... how does a cat forget to eat when it's one of their favourite things to do? Well, I don't have the best memory and my stomach often forgets to tell my brain that I am hungry.... and in-turn, my brain forgets to tell my legs to gets-ta-walking and find the food bowl! I will need your help with this. Please move the food bowl to where I am to remind me that I need to eat. It generally works. Anything else to add? Yes! I absolutely adore the company of humans. So much so that I like to know where you are at all times. If I can't find you, I can become a little stressed, so please call out for me to let me know where you are.
Other pets! YES YES YES! I am currently in care with other kitties (of different ages) and have adapted fabulously to their company. I have also proven to be great with my canine couter-parts so will suit a home with an existing doggie providing introductions are done with care and consideration. Due to my social and affectionate personality, the rescue would prefer I am homed with a buddy to spend my time with (when you aren't around)- either one of the feline or canine variety.... or both!
If you think you can provide the above and are looking for a truly special rescue kittie to adopt, please drop the S.A.M. team a line.
Adoption fee is $375 and covers 1st & second vaccination, de-sexing, microchip, worming, flea treatment and vet check. Animals are ready for their forever homes typically once they reach 9 weeks of age and vet work has been completed. Please note* adoption fees do not cover microchip transfer costs. This can be obtained from the lovely SAM team upon request.
