About Me
Hi, my name's Danni & I came into the care of the rescue after finding myself with my siblings homeless at a local pound. Unfortunately our mum arrived with us deceased and at the age of 3 weeks, we needed someone experienced to undertake the arduous journey of hand-raising us. We hadn't had a great deal of contact with people so were on the timid side, but, that's now a distant memory.
Thanks to the hard work of my dedicated carer, I'm a far-cry from my ultra timid former self. I’ve learnt that humans mean me no harm, and their attention and affections can actually be pretty great! So, what to expect with me now? While I can initially be nervy with new people, once I've established trust and a bond well, my personality virtually does a 180. I become a bit of a snuggler, the sorta lad that will find a space... any space really to mozie my way on into. As for my timing? I think you know that answer to that: Terrible. You should expect that every moment that’s taken to do something important, I’ll be there... demanding your attention. If I don’t get your attention? I will do one or more of the following things: meow (loudly) in close proximity to your ear, nudge your leg/face/arms/torso, head boop you, trill like a bird and last but not least- gently nibble your toes. So what I’m saying here is, I love human affection.
So now the important stuff. What sort of home will I suit? I'm seeking a patient, understanding home that will be mindful of my past and give me plenty of time to adjust to all the change that come with an adoption. Cats? I'd do wonderfully in a home with an existing kittie or 2! Dogs? While I haven't previously lived with canine companions, I have proven to be non reactive when meeting them from the comfort of my pet carrier. It likely won't be love at first sight however- the rescue is confident that with time, I will adjust well to their company (ideally no energetic doggos). Children? Given I can initially be wary of strangers, I'd prefer a home without young kidlets (ages 5+).
