Hi my name is Cody & I sadly found myself homeless due to a change in living circumstances. Thankfully the rescue was contacted, wasting no time in finding a suitable foster carer willing to take me in. I have since made a move to PetStock Baldivis where I hope to have lots of adoption exposure! I am super excited at the prospect that my special forever home may not be too far away!
I am a cool sorta of customer with a placid, relaxed- yet affectionate personality. I absolutely LOVE spending time with ‘the humans’ and you can bet that if there is a lap available to sprawl myself out on, I’ll be there in the blink of an eye..... I mean, the photographer lady struggled to get photos of me as all I wanted to do was cuddle! If I am not firmly planted on someone's lap, you can generally find me nestled underneath a window sill. I am a very observant kittie who loves to watch the world go by from the comfort of my home (I am not suited to an adopter wanting an outdoor kittie as I much prefer being indoors!).
Other cats? While I haven’t had any direct interactions with other cats, I have appeared non reactive when tested with them from the safety of a my pet carrier. The rescue therefore thinks I will adapt well to the company of another cat providing introductions are done with care and consideration (note* it won't be love at first sight). Dogs? I unfortunately haven't been tested with them, so would prefer a home without any canine companions. Kids? I will be fine with kidlets who are respectful of my space.... and give me time to 'chill' when needed.
Adoption fee is $150 and covers 1st vaccination, de-sexing, microchip, worming, flea treatment and vet check. Animals are ready for their forever homes typically once they reach 9 weeks of age and vet work has been completed. Please note* adoption fees do not cover microchip transfer costs. This can be obtained from the lovely SAM team upon request.
HOW TO ADOPT
Here at Saving Animals Matters, we pride ourselves on matching each individual animal to the most suitable and compatible homes for them. It is through this thorough process that we can give both the rescued animals and their new human companions the best chance at a happy and fulfilling life together.
Please understand that our rescue is run by volunteers. We will always try our best to be as responsive as possible and will get back to you as soon as we can.
The rescue operates from:
9am- 5pm Monday to Friday
9am- 4pm Saturday
Note* The rescue does not adopt to a home where the existing dog is of the same sex.
