Hi my name is Clay & I came into the care of the rescue due to my previous owner uprooting to a different country.
I am a handsome, sweet-natured, and affectionate lad that relishes in the company of my human counterparts. I am very vocal in demanding affection and if I don’t get it, you best be prepared to hear about it. In the mornings I will shadow the humans in search of food and cuddles. In the afternoons you won’t find me far from the couch where I await the humans for cuddles. In the evenings I will curl up into a ball ready for bed and cuddles. Sensing a theme here? You wouldn’t be wrong. I am all about cuddles.
I haven’t had any direct contact with other cats, however have appeared non reactive when in the safety of a carrier around them. I have previously lived with a large breed doggie with little issues! I am also ok with children who are respectful of my space.
I would prefer a quieter home that will provide me plenty of time to adapt to all the changes that come with an adoption. I can initially be shy which should be taken into consideration when meeting me.
Adoption fee is $150 and covers 1st vaccination, de-sexing, microchip, worming, flea treatment and vet check. Animals are ready for their forever homes typically once they reach 9 weeks of age and vet work has been completed. Please note* adoption fees do not cover microchip transfer costs. This can be obtained from the lovely SAM team upon request.
HOW TO ADOPT
Here at Saving Animals Matters, we pride ourselves on matching each individual animal to the most suitable and compatible homes for them. It is through this thorough process that we can give both the rescued animals and their new human companions the best chance at a happy and fulfilling life together.
Please understand that our rescue is run by volunteers. We will always try our best to be as responsive as possible and will get back to you as soon as we can.
The rescue operates from:
9am- 5pm Monday to Friday
9am- 4pm Saturday
Note* The rescue does not adopt to a home where the existing dog is of the same sex.
